nullTHANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN OUR HYMN SONG SURVEY DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST.  THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS THE FINAL RESULTS FOR "SUMMER 2017"  STAY TUNED FOR POSSIBLE HYMN SURVEYS IN THE FUTURE...

The ballots have been gathered and tabulated by our Secretary, Music Director, and Pastor and we’re ready to reveal Greenford Lutheran’s Top Ten favorite hymns for 2017.  Please note, it was decided to set aside votes for purely Christmas and Easter hymns as we plan to do separate survey’s for those later in this 2017-2018 school year.

A big thanks to all those who contributed to this effort and especially those who signed their name so we could follow up with you if we had questions.  The Music Director, Pastor and worship committee use this list as they pick hymns for worship.  Last year with 52 Sunday services we were able to use over 70 of the nearly hundred favorite hymns.  That averages out to at least one favorite hymn (sometimes 2) per worship service!

For a small congregation we enjoy a good sized, great sounding choir.  The choir provides worship support throughout the school year (September through May).  Regular practices are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm, accept during Advent and Lent when practices occur after the midweek Wednesday service.

In addition to our Adult Choir we regularly hear from our Sunday School children who present music about once a month as well as an annual Children's Christmas Pageant the Sunday prior to Christmas.

Greenford Lutheran enjoys a worship style that is primarily liturgical and traditional in nature.  However, we also consistently incorporate a more modern contemporary sound and feel through special music, choirs, or congregational singing.
